The Kansas Council of Instructional Administrators (KCIA) is a group of Chief Academic Officers from public, two-year community and technical colleges in Kansas.

Mission:

KCIA supports and improves the Kansas higher education system by promoting awareness of and participation in the governance processes of two-year colleges and the Kansas higher education system as a whole.

Vision:

To be the leading voice for academic excellence in Kansas community colleges.

Our Role:

KCIA serves as a brainstorming body and working group to coordinate Kansas higher education within the two-year sector. The group serves as the nominating body for the System Council of Chief Academic Officers (SCOCAO) at the Kansas Board of Regents. Meetings are held quarterly with an in-person retreat held in June.
